eclectic-scriptorium:

Poster for the film Blancanieves (2012), written and directed by Pablo Berger, and starring Maribel Verdú (Encarna / La Madrastra), Inma Cuesta (Carmen de Triana / La Madre), Ángela Molina (Doña Concha / La Abuela), and Macarena García (Carmen / Blancanieves).
This is a very Spanish take on the Brothers Grimm fairytale of Snow White, and in particular the southern region of Andalucía (the world of bullfighting and flamenco). Blancanieves (Spanish for “Snow White”) presents a romanticised version of 1920s Andalucía, and is intended as a homage to 1920s European silent films.
